Software Engineering and Game Development
2 years full time
Students are assessed by 2 principal means over the course of study; formal time constrained examinations and assignment based coursework; some modules are assessed by both examination and assignment; some modules, due to the nature of the subject, will each consist of 100% coursework; some modules will be assessed through an electronic portfolio.

2 formal assessments take place at key stages within the academic year; assessment is carried out using a variety of methods: learning portfolios (portfolio of artwork); design tasks (research and background material); presentation; essay; exhibition; work-based assessment.

Computer Games Development
2 years full-time
Most assessment will be through coursework which may consist of a combination of group work, seminar presentations, practical computer based projects, or written reports. Some modules also have a formal examination as part of the assessment.
